Greetings Everyone and Welcome to Entering the Holy of Holies, An Institute of Learning and Healing, Inc’s (ETHOH) 15th Anniversary Fundraiser: An African Dance Class Blast!

This year we are very excited to feature three Master Dance Classes taught by three Masterful Teachers at the internationally renowned, Dance Theatre of Harlem located in the heart of Harlem. Each instructor will teach a 45 minute traditional West African Dance Class followed by a Mix & Mingle/Meet the Artists/Shop-‘Til-You-Drop Party! A Good Time is promised to be had by all!

Reverend Nafisa Sharriff

Dr. Darian Parker Daaimah Taalib-Din

ETHOH was incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(C)(3) spiritual and educational organization in April 2004 and is a volunteer run organization. For the past fifteen years ETHOH has been a vital part of the New York Healing, Wellness and Cultural Community and has sponsored various Meditation Classes and Workshops, West African Dance Classes, Retreats, Seasonal Cleanses, Rite of Passage programs for women and intensive Workshops known as “The Teachings” (The Phases) to teach people how to meditate and recreate their life in love.  Our Story.

In 2009 ETHOH celebrated its fifth Anniversary by honoring Dr. Josef Ben-Jochannan, Egyptologist, Anthropologist, Historian and Author in a ceremony called, “The Washing of His Feet”. We owe our name, Entering the Holy of Holies, Inc. to the late Dr. Ben and the late Mr. Gil Noble, the African American television reporter and interviewer who produced and hosted, “Like It Is” a weekly television show where Dr. Ben was frequently a guest.

When ETHOH turned ten we had the great honor and privilege of honoring Ms. Susan L. Taylor, Editor-In-Chief Emerita of Essence Magazine and Founder & CEO of National CARES Mentoring Movement. It was during this ceremony that Gale A. Brewer, Manhattan Borough President gifted Entering the Holy of Holies, Inc. with a Proclamation declaring Tuesday, June 24th as Entering the Holy of Holies Day and former Councilwoman Inez E. Dickens gifted Entering the Holy of Holies, Inc with a Letter of Recognition for our cultural and educational work and service to the “Village of Harlem”.
